Shungite Bead Mala with Red Cinnabar Buddha Bead and Fluffy Red & Gold Tassel

This 108-bead mala necklace features shungite beads with a Buddha head carved from red cinnabar as the guru bead.

Below the Buddha bead hangs a fluffy red and gold tassel made from several colors of recycled sari silk, as well as a few strands of dark red leather. A little brass Om charm is hiding on one of those leather strands! 

The beads are strung on double-stranded medium brown hemp twine. The twine is knotted every 9th bead, with bright red and gold glass seed beads placed in between the other shungite for some extra sparkle.

The marker beads are ceramic beads that coordinate with some of the colors in the tassel silks.

The mala necklace comes in a lovely handmade bag.
